ARROW - Avoiding SYNCHRONOUS or PARAMETRIC RESONANCE
The ARROW program is a software tool to estimate and display the potential conditions and countermeasures to Avoid Rolling Resonances Or Wave impacts on ships due to specific wave encounter situations, specifically potential danger caused by SYNCHRONOUS or PARAMETRIC RESONANCE
The ARROW program is a software tool to estimate and display the potential conditions and countermeasures to Avoid Rolling Resonances Or Wave impacts on ships due to specific wave encounter situations, specifically potential danger caused by synchronous or parametric resonance.
The software requests a only few data from the user like:
- ships course and speed
- loading condition (GM, lever arms)
- ships mean draught
- wave situation (direction, wave period, wave height)
ARROW - Usage & Examples
Identify synchronous and parametric roll resonance situation
Input of wave data from obeservation or wheather routing leads to identification of dangerous rolling situation
Easy to understand display of dangerous situation
One quick glance shows dangerous situation due to unique color graphic
No direct connection to ships hardware neccessary
